Abstract

To address the severe siltation problem at the fore-end of the pumping station of Daning Res-ervoir due to the"23.7"flood and many years of sedimentation,the analysis and research on the applica-tion of desilting technology for the pumping station of the reservoir and the pumping station of the middle embankment were conducted through the selection of technological solutions and verification of their ef-fects.Considering the construction period and cost constraints,as well as the characteristics of the front part of the pumping station and the technology optimization screening,the combination of underwater desilting and dry field desilting was adopted.The assembled desilting devices and hydraulic flushing and dredging units were used for sediment extraction.The desilting amount in the middle embankment pump-ing station was 4,455 m3,accounting for 91.10%of the siltation volume;the reservoir pumping station desilting volume of 8,054 m3,accounting for 90.70%of the siltation volume;the total desilting volume was 1.250 9 million m3,accounting for 90.84%.The desilting effect met the specification requirements and further ensured the water transmission safety.
