Abstract

In order to solve the problems of poor flexibility,dryness and easy tearing of calcium alginate por-ous materials,through a comprehensive comparison of various reagents,glycerol was selected to flexibly treat the material,and a natural polymer porous material with bending resistance and easy water absorption was successful-ly prepared.Orthogonal and single factor experiments were adopted to analyze the effects of glycerol concentra-tion,treatment temperature and time on the breaking strength,flexibility and liquid absorption of flexible calcium alginate porous materials,and the optimal preparation process was determined to be glycerol concentration of 6%,temperature 30℃ and treatment time of 9h.The flexible calcium alginate porous material prepared under this process had a breaking strength of 0.174MPa,a liquid absorption of 14.9g/g and a flexibility of 290°,which showed good flexibility,water absorption and mechanical properties.In addition,with the increase of glycerol con-centration,the flexibility increased while the liquid absorption and tensile breaking strength decreased.The mois-turizing properties and thermal stability of calcium alginate increased after flexible treatment.In summary,the cal-cium alginate after flexible treatment had better flexibility,mechanical properties,liquid absorption properties,moisturizing properties and thermal stability,which could meet the functional requirements of wound dressings.
