茶树育种研究进展OA
Research Progress on Tea Breeding
茶起源于中国,盛行于世界.我国作为茶树的发源地,种质资源丰富,无性系茶树品种的培育以及无性繁殖技术也最早在我国诞生,选育出了大量优异茶树品种.随着现代科学技术的快速发展,生物技术应用在茶树育种领域,特别是茶树全基因组测序与组装、功能基因组学在茶树育种领域的应用,加快了茶树育种的步伐.本文主要就近几十年来茶树育种技术相关研究进行归纳综述,以期为茶树遗传育种技术创新及利用提供参考.
Originated in China around 2700 BC,tea has become a popular beverage worldwide over the years.The existing diverse varieties fueled by sophisticated clonal breeding and cultivation eventually turned the country into an unchallenged kingdom of tea.Countless exquisite premier cultivars were generated as a result.In recent decades,the rapidly advancing science and technology that provides information,tools,and opportunities unavailable previously further accelerated the pace and scope of development.By applying the modern biotechnological and genetic techniques,for instance,tea breeding employing genome sequencing,gene editing,and bioinformatics has made many recent advancements possible.This article comprehensively reviews the publications on research in the arena to highlight the accomplishments as well to hope for the birth of more innovative and functional products and ever-heightened tea appreciation by the global consumers.
