Abstract
Urban regeneration involves changes of local cultural connotations,affecting the cultural identity and self-identity of urban members.Chen Danyan's non-fiction The Bund:Images and Legends takes the regeneration of the bund in Shanghai as its background.Through the triple symbolization of individual characters,material space and social space,it outlines the process of constructing urban cultural identity,presenting a conflicting cognition of modernization,an innovative identity of East-meets-West fusion,and a limited imagination of consumption under the lens of urban imagination.关键词
