Abstract
Since the introduction of Buddhism at the time of the two Han dynasties,through several dynasties,it developed to a small climax in the Northern Wei Dynasty,and Buddhist temples,as the main place for Buddhist ceremonial activities and the propagation of the Dharma,amounted to 1,376 in the city of Luoyang at that time.The author of The Story of Luoyang Temple,Yang Yuanzhi,used Luoyang of the Northern Wei Dynasty as the background for his book,in which he recorded the temple system,political affairs,and anecdotes in the city,which is an indispensable historical material for the study of the development of Buddhist temples in the Northern Wei Dynasty.However,most of the academic research on the Buddhist temples in Luoyang during the Northern Wei Dynasty was conducted on national temples with detailed historical records,such as Yongning Temple the lack of systematic organization.The author takes The Story of Luoyang Temple as the blueprint,combines the historical documents and archaeological excavations,in order to explore the localization of the form of Buddhist temples in Luoyang of Northern Wei Dynasty more systematically.关键词
