膨化玉米秸秆对育肥肉牛生长性能、屠宰性能、肉品质及抗氧化能力的影响
Effects of expanded corn straw on growth performance,slaughter performance,meat quality,and antioxidant capacity of finishing beef cattle

Abstract
The experiment aimed to investigate the effects of substituting different levels of expanded corn straw for ordinary corn straw in the diet on the growth performance,slaughter performance,meat quality,and antioxidant capacity of fattening beef cattle.Forty healthy Simmental hybrid beef cattle with body weight(446.56±12.45)kg were selected and randomly divided into four groups,with ten replicates per group and one beef cattle per replicate.Group 1(control group)was fed with ordinary corn straw,while groups 2,3,and 4 were supplemented with 40%,60%,and 80%expanded corn straw,respectively,to replace an equivalent amount of ordinary corn straw in the basal diet.The preliminary trial period was ten days,and the formal experimental period was 60 days.The results showed that compared to the control group,the average daily weight gain,backfat thickness,lean meat rate,eye muscle area,crude protein content,and marbling score were significantly increased(P<0.05)in groups 3 and 4,while the feed conversion ratio and shear force were significantly decreased(P<0.05),the total superoxide dismutase(T-SOD)activity was significantly increased(P<0.05),and the malondialdehyde(MDA)content was significantly decreased(P<0.05).The study indicates that the addition of 60%and 80%expanded corn straw as a substitute for ordinary corn straw can improve the growth performance,slaughter performance,meat quality,and antioxidant capacity of finishing beef cattle.关键词
