Abstract
Objective This study aims to compare the efficacy of acupuncture combined with massage versus acupuncture alone in the treatment of primary frozen shoulder.Methods In this study,100 patients with primary frozen shoulder were selected and randomly divided into an acupuncture group and a combination group,with 50 patients in each group.The acupuncture group received acupuncture treatment three times a week,and the combination group received acupuncture combined with massage treat-ment three times a week,both for a duration of 8 weeks.The treatment effects were evaluated using clinical efficacy,Melle score,simplified McGill Pain Questionnaire(SF-MPQ)score,and shoulder joint range of motion measurements.Results The study results showed that the combination group had significantly better clinical efficacy,shoulder joint function,Melle score,and SF-MPQ score compared to the acupuncture group.The combination group showed significant improvements in fingertip-to-ear distance,fingertip-to-spine distance,forward flexion angle,and abduction angle,along with significant reductions in Melle score and SF-MPQ score(P＜0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture combined with massage has significant clinical effects in treating frozen shoulder,more ef-fectively relieving pain and improving shoulder joint function.This comprehensive therapy is worthy of promotion and application in clinical practice.关键词
