Abstract
Objective:To investigate the efficacy and safety of continuous epidural anesthesia combined with adductor block in elderly patients undergoing knee replacement.Method:60 elderly patients undergoing knee replacement in the First Affiliated hospital of Bengbu Medical University from May 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study objects and randomly divided into experimental group and control group,with 30 cases in each group.The experimental group was treated with continuous epidural anesthesia combined with adductor block,while the control group was treated with continuous epidural anesthesia.Visual analogue pain(VAS)scores 6 h,12 h,24 h and 48 h after surgery,lower limb muscle strength and walking distance 24 h and 48 h after surgery,and incidence of complications such as hypotension,nausea,vomiting and drowsiness within 2 days after surgery were compared between the two groups.Result:The pain scores of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group at each time point after operation,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the comparison of muscle strength of lower limbs between the two groups 24 h and 48 h after operation(P>0.05).The walking distance of the experimental group was greater than that of the control group 24 h and 48 h after operation,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in incidence of postoperative complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:The application of epidural anesthesia combined with adductor block in elderly patients with knee replacement,which not only provides postoperative analgesic,but also helps patient to get out of bed early.关键词
