Hometown and the Vulgar Person:The Impact of Gogol's Hwo the Two Ivans Quarrelled on Lu Xun
摘要
Abstract
Gogol's Hwo the Two Ivans Quarrelled had a large impact on Lu Xun,mainly in the fol-lowing two factors:hometown and the vulgar person.Hometown is a shelter for Gogol's heart.This no-vel has a Ukrainian background and adopts the first-person home-bound narrative pattern,expressing complex feelings.Lu Xun's attitude,affection and expression for hometown were similar.Gogol's spurn at the mob shaped his sense of superiority and idealism.Hwo the Two Ivans Quarrelled his masterpiece in mocking the vulgar person,and its artistic feature is exactly the same as the so-called"tragedy nearly without events"in Lu Xun's works.关键词
