Abstract
In recent years,multiple incidents of composite insulator breakage and embrittlement seriously affect the safe operation of transmission lines.With the rapid development of UAV technology,the new technology of using UAV as platforms to carry infrared thermal imaging equipment to inspect composite insulators with abnormal temperature rise has been applied in the Liaoning power grid.By dissecting and tensile testing the composite insulators with abnormal temperature rise,the results show that all of the composite in-sulators with abnormal temperature rise exhibit the corrosion of core-rod and lower tensile strength than the initial detection value,indi-cating that using UAV to carrying infrared temperature measurement is indeed an efficient and low-risk way to discover composite insu-lators with abnormal temperature rise.关键词
