新疆辣椒产业发展成效与高质量发展对策
Development Achievements and Countermeasures of High Quality Development of Pepper Industry in Xinjiang

Abstract
Since the red industry strategy was launched in Xinjiang in 2005,the planting area and output of pepper in Xinjiang have been increasing continuously.In Xinjiang there are some planting centers such as Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture,Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture,Tarbagatay Prefecture and others.Pepper breeding Xinjiang's ability of pepper breeding has been improved to a certain extent.Over one hundred pepper cultivars were cultivated.Pepper processing ability has been gradually increased.Pepper industrial chain mainly focused on food processing and red pigment extraction was established.Some brands such as'Bohu Pepper'and'Anjihai Pepper'were developed.'Bohu Pepper'was recognized as a geographical indication product and was selected as one of one of the top ten pepper brands in the country.In 2021,the planting area and output of pepper in Xinjiang have reached 100 800 ha and 4 131 000 t,respectively.In 2023 the export volume and value of pepper in Xinjiang have ranked the 5th and 6th in the country,respectively.The industrial influence of peppers in Xinjiang is continuously increasing.With rapid development of pepper industry in Xinjiang,it is found that there are still some problems:Xinjiang's ability to breed new varieties of pepper needs to be improved,the level of pepper planting and management is not high,and the ability of deep processing of pigment pepper is not strong.Therefore,some suggestions were proposed:accelerating the modernization process of pepper planting industry,strengthening the construction of independent research and development to breedpepper seeds project,accelerating the breakthrough of deep processing technology for pigment peppers,expanding the sales channels of various pepper products in Xinjiang,promoting the development of pepper brands in Xinjiang and others in order to promote high quality development of pepper industry in Xinjiang.关键词
