Review on Bionic Olfactory Sensing Technology and Its Application Prospect in Condition Monitoring of Electrical Equipment

Abstract
The safe operation of electrical equipment is very important to the stability of power system.In recent years,the bionic olfactory sensing technology is a hot research topic both at home and abroad and has been used suc-cessfully in the field of food inspection,quarantine,search and rescue.The technology can also be used to detect de-fects or faults of electrical equipment.The defects or faults of electrical equipment can be identified further by way of detecting metal conductors and specific odor molecules emitted by the gas,liquid or solid insulation of the electrical equipment,and can be combined with visual and auditory for diagnostic analysis.In this paper,the development pro-cess of the bionic olfactory sensing technology is described firstly,the principle,technical characteristics and re-search progress of three generations of bionic olfactory sensing technology are expounded,and its application scenari-os and development direction are discussed.Then,the gas detection technology of present electric power equipment is summarized and analyzed from the perspective of fault identification of gas,liquid and solid insulation media,and the applicable scenarios and advantages of bionic olfactory sensing technology are proposed.Finally,the future appli-cation prospects and key issues of the bionic olfactory sensing technology are analyzed in combination with the devel-opment and research direction of bionic olfactory sensing technology,and the research prospects of bionic olfactory sensing technology in the future are proposed.关键词
