摘要

Abstract

The combined cavity injection mold of a certain type of engine trunking component is taken as the research object,and the gating system of the mold is designed and optimized by using Moldflow simulation software.Firstly,the initial design scheme of the gating system is obtained by combining the results of gate location analysis and the weld line position.Then,in the first round of optimization,the method of changing the gate size to control the flow rate is used to significantly improve the uneven flow problem in the initial scheme.Finally,based on the results of the first round of optimization,the optimal design parameters of the gating system are locked by performing the runner balance analysis under the given constraints.This strategy not only significantly shortens the mold development cycle from design to validation,but also effectively reduces the overall manufacturing cost of the mold by reducing the number of mold trials and material waste.The gating system optimization strategy and implementation process based on Moldflow simulation proposed not only demonstrate the application potential of high-precision numerical simulation in injection mold design,but also provide a scientific and efficient reference paradigm for the balanced design of gating systems with similar structures in the injection mold industry.
