Abstract

Against the broad demand for accurate measurement of urban high-drop scenes,a UAV tilt photogrammetry method based on prominence maximum calculation is proposed to address the limitations of traditional UAV tilt photo-grammetry in observing complex urban environments.Based on the initial acquisition of topographic data in the survey area,the process extracts the peak points of the survey area based on the maximum value of significance,combines the linear interpolation method to generate a smooth surface elevation model,and proposes the calculation method of the plane and cross-section acquisition position to obtain the camera position of the new acquisition point to complete the data acqui-sition.Part of the urban area of Boston,USA,is selected as the measurement area,covering a variety of functional types and traffic scenes,and a comparison test between the new method and the traditional tilt photogrammetry method is car-ried out.The results show that compared with the conventional tilted photogrammetry method,the UAV tilted photogram-metry based on prominence maximum computation can effectively collect the local details of the natural scene in the sur-vey area based on ensuring flight safety with higher accuracy.Moreover,it is more suitable for the measurement of high dropout scenarios,so that the texture information and geometric structure of the actual scene 3D model can be described with high quality.
