Research on Choroidal Thickness Measured by OCT in the Progression of Myopia in School-aged Children

Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between SFCT and ocular biometric parameters in school-aged children with different refractive states.Methods A retrospective cohort observational study was conducted.We collected data from 89 school-aged children(178 eyes)aged 7 to 15 years from January 2023 to June 2024.The children were divided into three groups based on their SE:pre-myopia group,mild myopia group,and moderate-to-high myopia group.SD-OCT was used to measure the changes in SFCT.The correlation between SFCT and ocular biometric parameters was analyzed for different groups.Results SFCT was significantly positively correlated with SE in the mild myopia group and the moderate-to-high myopia group(P<0.05).SFCT was significantly negatively correlated with corneal curvature(K)and axial length/corneal radius(AL/CR)in the mild myopia group(P<0.05).SFCT was negatively correlated with axial length(AL).SFCT was significantly positively correlated with anterior chamber depth(ACD)in the moderate-to-high myopia group(P<0.05).Conclusion As the degree of myopia increases,SFCT becomes thinner,and SFCT is correlated with K,AL,AL/CR,and ACD.关键词
