Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of whole-course nursing combined with respiratory function exercise on the postoperative rehabilitation of patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery.Methods A total of 148 patients admitted to the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery of Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital,Zhejiang University School of Medicine from August 2021 to August 2022 were selected for this study.They were randomly allocated into control and observation groups,with 74 cases in each group.The control group received routine nursing,and the observation group additionally received whole-course nursing combined with respiratory function exercise.The self-efficacy,cardiopulmonary function,exercise endurance,and quality of life were compared between the two groups.Results At discharge,the observation group performed better than the control group in forced expiratory volume in 1 second,maximal voluntary ventilation,forced vital capacity,peak expiratory flow,cardiac output,left ventricular ejection fraction,left ventricular end-systolic diameter,left ventricular end-diastolic diameter,peak oxygen uptake,anaerobic threshold,and 6-min walking test ( all P<0.05 ).At 3 months after discharge,the observation group had higher scores than the control group in the General Self-Efficacy Scale and the Generic Quality of Life Inventory-74 ( both P<0.05 ).Conclusion The combination of whole-course nursing and respiratory function exercise for patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery is helpful to improve the patients'cardiopulmonary function,exercise endurance,self-efficacy,and quality of life.关键词
