The phenylpropane metabolic pathway is one of the most significant metabolic pathways in plants,synthesizing more than 8,000 metabolites,including flavonoids,lignans,lignin,coumarins,and other metabolites through multiple branching pathways(Zhang and Liu 2015;Gao et al.2024).This pathway is crucial in plant growth,development,and plant-environment interactions(Dong and Lin 2021).
