Abstract
Objective To explore the research hotspots,progress,and trends of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in the treatment of macular edema(ME)through a bibliometric analysis of related literature.Methods The Chinese literatures on the treatment of ME with TCM were retrieved and sorted out from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI).The search time was from the establishment of the database to September 15,2024.The literature was subjected to a bibliometric analysis using CiteSpace 6.3.R1 Advanced software in terms of output,research institutions,research authors,and research hotspots,and a knowledge map was drawn.Results A total of 455 literatures were included,and the publication volume presented an overall fluctuating upward trend.Conclusion In recent years,the research on the treatment of ME with TCM has become mature,and the overall research tends to focus on the syndrome type,treatment method and prescription.The treatment of ME with integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine has also become a related research hotspot.However,the current research on the treatment of ME with TCM has obvious defects of multi-center cooperation,and the cooperation and exchange between teams and institutions need to be strengthened.关键词
