Effects of Different Irrigation Methods on Rice Yield and Quality and Evaluation on Water-saving Efficiency

Abstract
[Objective]The effects of different irrigation methods on rice yield and quality and water-saving efficiency were explored,which provided references for the scientific irrigation in rice cultivation,particularly under drought conditions.[Method]Three irrigation treatments were set up,including T1(thin-shallow-wet-dry irrigation),T2(high water level intermittent irrigation),and T3(low water level intermittent irrigation).The effects of different irrigation methods on water-saving efficiency and yield and quality of 10 Xiangyou Yuxiang,a three-line indica hybrid rice variety with national registration No.of Guoshendao 20216100,were studied.[Result]Different irrigation methods affected the leaf width of rice during the heading and flowering stage significantly,and no significant effect was observed on other agronomic traits.In terms of rice yield and its component factors,T3 performed the best.Compared with T1 and T2,the yield increased by 0.02%and 1.14%,the grains per spike increased by 39.40%and 20.52%,the fruiting rate increased by 5.36%and 3.76%,and the 1 000-grain weight increased by 10.83%and 10.61%,respectively.In terms of rice quality,T3 performed the best.Compared with T1 and T2,the brown rice rate increased significantly by 0.81%and 0.93%,the milled rice rate increased by 1.40%and 1.33%,and the gel consistency increased by 6.29%and 7.04%,respectively.In terms of water-saving efficiency,T3 could reduce the irrigation amount and water consumption throughout the entire growth period of rice and improve water use efficiency.Compared with T1 and T2,the irrigation amount significantly reduced by 37.13%and 26.18%,and the water consumption significantly reduced by 41.38%and 37.64%,and water use efficiency of yield significantly improved by 93.45%and 80.23%,respectively.[Conclusion]The method of low water level intermittent irrigation(T3)has the best comprehensive effect,which has a certain increase in rice yield and can improve rice quality while achieving good water-saving effects.关键词
