Abstract

In this paper,the temperature and humidity independent control technology is applied to CO2 dual-evaporator compression/ejection air conditioning system.A thermodynamic model is developed to investigate performance of the air conditioning system in cooling and dehumidification.The influence of cooling capacity ratio on the entrainment ratio and energy efficiency of the system is studied,and a comparative study of the air conditioning system with a conventional dual-evaporator air conditioning system is conducted in terms of energy efficiency.The results show that under the design condition,the total cooling capacity of CO2 dual-evaporator compression/ejection air conditioning system is 5.837 kW,the dehumidification capacity is 1.99 kg/h,and energy efficiency ratio can reach 4.08.With the increase of cooling capacity ratio,entrainment ratio of the system decreases and energy efficiency increases.When cooling capacity ratio is 5,the entrainment ratio is 0.127,and energy efficiency ratio can reach 5.324.Compared with conventional dual-evaporator air conditioning,energy efficiency ratio of the system is increased by 27.2%-31.12%when low temperature evaporation temperature is in the range of 5-15℃.Under the design condition,energy efficiency ratio can be improved by 28.91%.
