Abstract

In response to the problems of low rainfall,high evaporation,low yield of Astragalus membranaceus seedlings,and low economic benefits in arid and semi-arid areas,a single factor random block experiment was set up in Dingxi,Gansu Province with different coverage modes.Through the study of dry matter accumulation,yield,and economic benefits of Astragalus membranaceus seedlings,a comprehensive e-valuation was made.The results showed that plastic film coverage could promote the accumulation rate of dry matter in Astragalus membranaceus seedlings,accelerate the formation of root morphological characteristics,and thereby increase yield.Among them,the root length and root thick-ness increased by 3.78-10.91cm and 1.16-2.12 mm compared to other treatments,and the yield increased by 1 065.5-3 850.0 kg/hm2.The high-yield value of plastic film coverage compensates for its insufficient high resource investment,making it still have high economic benefits.Compared to other treatments,black film coverage had the highest comprehensive evaluation index.Therefore,plastic film covering technology could be used as an efficient and sustainable planting mode for Astragalus membranaceus seedlings in arid and semi-arid areas.
