Abstract
The traditional dwellings in west Anhui Province are a typical representative of the southern architecture in China,and have a unique architectural culture.However,due to urbanization,the local population loss is serious leading to an urgent need for the protection and renewal of the traditional dwellings.Based on the concept of symbiosis,the paper proposes a strategy for the renewal of the traditional dwellings in west Anhui,including the symbiosis of new and old functions,the symbiosis of architectural environment,and the symbiosis of different cultures.The paper selects Guangyan ancient village as a renovation case,which renovation strategy corresponds highly with the concept of symbiosis.The paper explores the specific renovation design for the functional space replacement and symbiosis of the architecture and environment,aiming to protect the tradition while meeting modern needs,creating a livable and tourist-friendly symbiotic environment,and achieving a living heritage.关键词
