Abstract
Jet flow scouring is often used for the dredging works of ports and waterways.In addition,the trenching machines are also required during the process of laying cables and pipelines on the seabed.In order to study the ground breaking depth by a fixed jet flow,the model tests were conducted and Fluent was also used to simulate the working performance of the jet flow breaking clay sol.It is concluded that the experimental data are in good agreement with the simulation result of the vertical jet flow breaking ground by using Fluent.The numerical simulation results show that the higher the soil's strength,the greater the required flow velocity and the smaller the target distance for breaking the ground.Based on the results of experiments and numerical analysis,a formula for calculating the ground breaking depth by the fixed jet flow is obtained.The above researches can serve as a reference for real jet flow trenching.关键词
