Abstract
The security undertone in the energy transition of the United States is characterized by"embeddedness".Despite fluctuations in the energy transition process due to changes in the presidency,the main logic of the energy issue remains unchanged.Contributing to the security logic embedded in the U.S.energy transition is primarily related to the U.S.security concept tradition,the power attributes of the energy issue,and the inertia of the U.S.system.At present,the United States mainly links climate issues to construct existential security,sets up threatening situations to bind core interests,and couples green economies to expand multi-dimensional connections to realize the cognitive,political,and economic embedding of security,which enables the security logic to effectively permeate the entire energy transition process.The embedding of security logic in the U.S.energy transition will have a multidimensional and multifaceted impact,including accelerating the U.S.energy transition process,promoting the"pan-securitization"of energy issues,and triggering changes in the path of global governance and the volatility of carbon emissions.This trend is expected to continue for a long time under the compounding effects of decarbonization and geopolitical shocks,and understanding this issue can help predict the direction of U.S.energy policy.China should objectively recognize this phenomenon,pay attention to the positive role of"security"tools in the energy transition,and maintain strategic stability to avoid falling into the trap of"over-securitization"in competition with the United States.关键词
