Study on Arc Building Process of Inductor-disconnected Discharge in Explosive Environments

Abstract
For studying the arc building process of the inductor-disconnected discharge(IDD)arc in explosive envi-ronment,a micro particle transport model between electrodes is set up on the basis of the macroscopic characteristics of IEC safe spark test apparatus(IEC-SSTA)arc discharge so to study the evolution of particle number density and potential between electrodes during arc building process.The types of charged particles mainly contributing to the discharge in the explosive environment are analyzed.The simulation results show that the formation of sheath and plasma region marks the generation of arc.In the two gas environments,the positive ions that make the main contribu-tion to the discharge are different,while the negative ions,free radicals that consume electron energy and excited par-ticles are the same.The effect of inductive breaking arc discharge is stronger in methane air environment.关键词
