Abstract

In recent years,the continuous sedimentation and elevation of the riverbed in the Zhengpu port basin of Maanshan have posed safety risks to production in the port area.To analyze the causes of sedimentation in Zhengpu port,this study,con-sidering the location and topography of the Zhengpu port reach of the Yangtze River,as well as the characteristics of water and sediment,tides,and winds,proposes management strategies such as aligning with river flow trends and dredging for drainage.The results showed that the root causes of the sedimentation in Zhengpu port were the rightwing of the power axis of the left branch of Maanshan river and the diversion adjustment of the local branch.Therefore,it was necessary to strengthen the guiding role of the central beach head,improved the stability of the overall river regime,implement the Niutun river bank slot dredging,the beach tail inclined dredging drainage,combined with the dynamic monitoring and analysis results of the Hehuang branch,timely carry out the comprehensive management of the Yangtze river Maanshan river with the Niutun river bank as the focus.
