Abstract
The background value of soil and water loss is widely applied in soil and water conservation efforts.However,due to factors such as regional differences,spatiotemporal variations,and the complexity of influencing factors,it has been difficult to calculate accurately.With the continuous improvement of soil and water loss monitoring,remote sensing technologies,and the deepening of digital soil and water conservation efforts,the conditions for accurately quantifying the background value of soil and water loss have gradually matured.This study reviews the main issues associated with determining the background value of soil and water loss and analyzes seven methods for calculating the background value of soil and water loss and their applica-tions.Based on the effectiveness of these methods in engineering cases,the study proposes the"Seven Factors"method as a suitable approach for calculating the background value of soil and water loss in Anhui Province.关键词
