Abstract

In response to the characteristics of irregular geometric properties and poor fluidity of seed filling of Cyperus esculentus seed ball and the current situation that China's Cyperus esculentus sowing machinery was still in the research and development stage,we designed and tested seed me-tering device of Cyperus esculentus precision planter.Firstly,the physical properties such as average mass,geometric size and friction coefficient of Cyperus esculentus seed ball were studied;Then,the adsorption force of the seed suction hole of the seed metering plate on the bean and the structural de-sign of the seed metering plate were investigated to determine the adsorption force and critical condi-tions of the bean ball in the seed metering process.The influencing factors and calculation methods of the size of the seed metering hole,the diameter of the seed metering plate,the negative pressure value and the fan power were discussed in detail;Finally,the performance of seed metering device was tested in bench and field test.The bench test results showed that under the conditions of differ-ent suction hole diameters and operation speeds,the missed seeding rate of the metering device was≤2.4%,the replay rate was≤2.8%,and the hole distance qualification index was≥91.2%,which all meet the standard requirements;The field experiment showed that the missing sowing rate of the seed metering device was≤4.2%,the replaying rate was≤3.1%,and the qualified index of hole dis-tance was≥90.9%,which meet the standard requirements and can be popularized and applied in Cy-perus esculentus planting machinery.
