Professor Guo Zhiqiang's experience in the treatment of premature ovarian insufficiency with the yang-supporting theory

Abstract
Professor Guo Zhiqiang believes that the primary etiology and pathogenesis of premature ovarian insufficiency(POI)stem from kidney yang deficiency,which in turn leads to dysfunction of the organs,especially as there exists a direct connection between the kidneys and the reproductive system.Its key pathogenesis involves insufficient kidney yang affects normal ovarian function and hormone balance.Clinically,the disease is characteristic of early symptoms of menstrual irregularities and reduced fertility in young women.Therefore,its therapeutic principle lies in reinforcing the vital energy and dispelling pathogens,emphasizing tonifying kidney yang and adjusting and optimizing the overall wellbeing of patients.In terms of treatment methods,he resorts to warming yang and dispersing cold,and nourishing the kidney to enhance the essence.As for prescriptions,he chooses herbs with kidney-tonifying and yang-warming effects,such as rehmannia root,cassia bark,deer-horn glue,to regulate endocrine function and improve ovarian activity.Additionally,Professor Guo emphasizes the importance of adjusting emotions and overall lifestyle in clinical treatment.This comprehensive therapeutic approach aims to restore ovarian function and improve the quality of life of patients.His idea highlights the practical application of traditional Chinese medicine's yang-supporting theory in modern diseases treatment and adheres to the principles of holistic and patient-centered treatment.关键词
