Abstract

19 types of facial mask cloths from seven categories used in market mask products were screened to study the water absorption and water holding rate,and at the same time,they were associated with the chemical structure of fibers and micro-morphological structure,to clarify the relationship between the structure of the facial mask cloths and the moisturizing constitutive effect.It was found that Viscose,Tencel and Seaweed facial mask cloths had excellent water absorption and water holding capacity per unit area and gram weight,while binchotan and Cotton were better,and Copper-ammonia and Nylon were the worse.These phenomena were related to the chemical composition of facial mask cloth fibers,network cross-linking density,and fiber crystalline state.Forty volunteers were further recruited to examine the human evaluation of the facial adhesion,breathability,and comfort during the use of the facial mask cloths,and the combined scores revealed that Copper-ammonia(2.58±0.18)>Cotton(2.42±0.25)>Viscose(2.27±0.23)≈ Nylon(2.20)≈ Binchotan(2.12±0.08)≈ Seaweed(2.15±0.07)≈ Tencel(2.10±0.19).The above results clarify the relationship between the microstructure and moisturizing performance of the mask film cloth,comprehensively analyze the human sensory performance during the application of the mask film cloth,and provide theoretical guidance and application basis for guiding the development and improvement of mask products.
