The Origin,Current Status,and Future Directions of Eastern Management Studies
东方管理学是以东方各国的管理文化、管理思想和管理实践为研究起点,由中国学者率先提出并持续开展原创性研究的新兴管理学科,自20世纪80年代中期以来,已经形成了一大批具有本土特色的理论与实践成果.东方管理研究和学科建设还存在许多需要创新和发展的问题,如:研究力度尚需强化,研究边界尚需厘清,研究内容尚需丰富,研究方法尚需多元,表达方式尚需创新等.未来的东方管理研究将"道""术"并重,全面发展.
Oriental management is an emerging management discipline that takes the management cul-ture,management ideas,and management practices of various Oriental countries as its research start-ing point.It was first proposed by Chinese scholars and continues to carry out original research.Since the mid-1980s,it has formed a large number of theoretical and practical achievements with local characteristics.There are still many issues in the research and discipline construction of Oriental man-agement that require innovation and development,such as the need to strengthen research efforts,clarify research boundaries,enrich research content,diversify research methods,and innovate expres-sion methods.Future research on Oriental management will emphasize both"Dao"and"Shu"and de-velop comprehensively.
