Abstract

The structural characteristics of the thermal printer bottom shell was analyzed,and UG and Moldflow software were utilized for modeling and simulating the injection molding process.The results show that relocating the gate from the bottom center to the threaded assembly hole effectively avoids weld lines during trial molding and achieves good filling effects.Based on the mold flow analysis results,the optimal melt temperature is 200℃,the optimal mold temperature is 80℃,and the optimal injection time is 0.1 s.Cooling is implemented with a cooling system equipped with water baffles,and the simulation results demonstrate that the molding quality meets the requirements.The mold structure adopts a layout of one mold with two cavities,featuring a single opening action,a single ejection action,and simultaneous four-way core pulling.The overall layout of the mold structure is reasonable,and the surface quality and precision of the injection molded parts produced by this mold meet the design requirements.
