Calculation Method of Minimum Distance between Rail Surface and Bottom of Oversize Freight Car during Hump Sliding and Its Application

Abstract
To solve the problem of bottoming out of oversize freight cars during hump sliding,this paper established a model of distance between rail surface and bottom of an oversize freight car during hump sliding and further provided a calculation formula of the minimum distance.Based on the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the minimum distance from the bottom of a freight car to the rail surface,the study determined the position where the minimum distance appears,the quantitative calculation formula of the minimum distance,and the judgment conditions of whether hump sliding is feasible for a freight car.For the hump profiles that cannot realize the hump sliding of oversize freight cars,this paper provided a modification scheme involving the vertical curve of the peak and the first slope section of the acceleration zone.The example analysis was based on the hump sliding of a JSQ6 concave-bottom double-decker freight car special for automobiles.The results show that the calculation process and judgment method can provide a theoretical basis for the formulation of sliding schemes of oversize freight cars.关键词
