Empirical Evidence of the Impact of Digital Economy on Common Prosperity
摘要
Abstract
Digital economy,as a new engine driving socio-economic development,will be an important lever for China to sol-idly promote common prosperity during the"14th Five-Year Plan"period and even in the future.This paper empirically tests the impact of digital economy on common prosperity based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2013 to 2020.The results go as below:Digital economy can significantly promote common prosperity,and this effect is more prominent in the central and western regions.The spatial effects of digital economy can effectively break the binary structure of urban and rural areas,promote regional integrated development,and ultimately achieve regional common prosperity.Mechanism test finds that promoting the con-struction of efficient markets and strengthening the functions of proactive governments are effective mechanisms for digital econo-my to promote common prosperity.关键词
