Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of sequential therapy of Doxycycline combined with Azithromycin in the treatment of children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia. Methods A total of 84 children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia admitted to Zibo Maternal and Child Health Hospital from October 2021 to October 2023 were selected as the study objects. All the children were divided into two groups using the random number table method, with 42 cases in each group. The control group received sequential treatment with Azithromycin, while the observation group received sequential treatment with Doxycycline combined with Azithromycin. The treatment effect, symptom resolution time, the levels of inflammatory factors, and lung function were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with the control group, the total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher(P<0.05).The observation group had shorter resolution time of cough, asthma, sore throat, headache, fever, and lung signs compared with the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of interleukin-4,interleukin-6,and C-reactive protein in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the observation group had higher forced expiratory volume in one second, forced vital capacity, peak expiratory flow, and maximal voluntary ventilation than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The clinical effect of sequential therapy Doxycycline combined with Azithromycin in children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia is good, which can quickly alleviate the symptoms, reduce inflammatory reactions, and promote the recovery of lung function. It is worthy of promotion.关键词
