Abstract
As the issue of global climate change becomes increasingly prominent,the quantitative assessment of product carbon footprints has become a pivotal tool for measuring corporate environmental responsibility and driving green transformation.Recently,China released the national standard GB/T 24067-2024,Greenhouse gases—Carbon footprint of products—Requirements and guidelines for quantification,which establishes a scientific and systematic framework for quantifying carbon footprints within the corporate sector.Based on this latest standard,this paper delves into the core methodology for quantifying product carbon footprints and,through case studies,demonstrates its practicality and feasibility in practical operation.The research reveals that GB/T 24067-2024 not only provides enterprises with a clear and comprehensive path for quantifying carbon footprints but also helps them to identify potential for emission reduction,foster optimization and upgrading of product design and supply chain management,and accelerate the transformation towards the green and low-carbon economy.关键词
