Research Progress on the Regulation of Calcium Metabolism in Ruminants by Dietary Nutrient Level
摘要
Abstract
Calcium(Ca)is necessary for many basic physiological functions in animals,including bone mineralization,blood clotting,neuronal transmission,muscle contraction,intracellular signaling,and so on.Ca2+homeostasis is main-tained through the synergistic effects of gastrointestinal absorption,renal reabsorption,and bone mobilization.Ca2+ho-meostasis of the animal body is closely related to the intake level of protein,carbohydrate,fat and other nutrients in the diet.Therefore,this paper mainly reviewed the research progress on the regulation of calcium metabolism in ruminants by dietary nutrient levels,in order to provide a new perspective for the functional study of calcium metabolism in rumi-nants with different nutritional levels and its application in animal production.关键词
