Research advances in regulation of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis by liver immune cells
摘要
Abstract
Fatty liver disease progresses through simple fatty liver,non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH),liver fibrosis,cir-rhosis,and up to hepatocellular carcinoma.Simple fatty liver disease is usually not accompanied by hepatocyte death and liver inflam-mation,and progresses to NASH when liver damage,hepatocyte death,and liver inflammation occur.At this stage,the body's im-mune system is activated and liver inflammation is induced,which plays an important role in the progression of NASH and leads to the subsequent development of liver fibrosis,cirrhosis,and hepatocellular carcinoma.This review summarizes the function of immune sys-tem activation in the development of NASH,especially the recent research progress in the specific functional mechanisms of various immune cells and their subsets.关键词
