Immunogenicity of Different Truncates of Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus S Protein

Abstract
Porcine epidemic diarrhea(PED)is a highly contagious intestinal disease of piglets,which is caused by porcine epidemic diarrhea virus(PEDV).In this study,we used the HEK-293F cells to express different truncated proteins of the PEDV S gene(S,S1,and CTD).Four-week-old BALB/c mice were immunized with these proteins and serum samples were collected at 0,14 and 28 d post immunization.These three proteins were able to induce favorable immune responses in mice as confirmed by ELISA and virus neutralization.The proportion of CD3+CD4+CD8+lymphocyte subsets was determined in flow cytometry and IFN-γ in mouse cells and IL-4 were also examined to assess the immunogenicity of these truncated proteins.The results indicated that the PEDV S protein was the most immunogenic among these truncated proteins.This study provided helpful information for the development of a PEDV subunit vaccine.关键词
