Prevalence and Evolution of the H5N8 Subtype of Avian Influenza Virus
摘要
Abstract
Avian influenza is an avian infection and disease syndrome caused by Avian influenza virus(AIV).The H5N8 subtype belongs to the highly pathogenic Avian influenza virus and has the characteristics of wide transmission range,strong infectivity.This virus has spread to Asia,Africa,Europe,America and many other countries and regions so far,leading to a large number of deaths of poultry and wild birds.The epidemic caused by the AIV H5N8 subtype not only causes huge economic losses to the poultry industry but also poses a serious threat to human health and life safety.Therefore,this paper provided a brief review of the genetic evolution of the AIV H5N8 subtype,the occurrence of the epidemic and the prevalence in wild birds and poultry,and discussed the public health threat and the importance of actively monitoring the transmission and taking preventive measures.关键词
