Nesting Behavior of Poultry and Its Regulation Mechanism
摘要
Abstract
Broodiness represents a critical phase within the reproductive cycle of poultry.In the context of the modern poultry industry,broodiness has emerged as one of the prominent elements exerting an impact on reproductive efficiency.Consequently,the reduction or elimination of broodiness has been established as a significant objective in poultry breeding programs.A comprehensive and in-depth comprehension of the characteristics and determinants of poultry broodiness,along with the modulation of these factors to enhance egg-laying performance,is of paramount significance for advancing the poultry sector.The hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal axis can generate various hormones and neurotransmitters.These substances are coordinately regulated by the central nervous system,thereby governing the broodiness behavior in poultry.This review article summarizes the recent research findings,both domestically and internationally,regarding poultry broodiness,the influencing factors,and regulatory strategies,to provide a valuable reference for the efficacious management of poultry broodiness.关键词
