Resistant Identity:Self-presentation of Higher Vocational College Teachers on We-Media

Abstract
Resistant identity refers to an identity attribute formed by individuals in response to oppression from mainstream social structures and cultural norms,which involves rebellion or refusal to be defined.This study focuses on the resistant identities constructed by vocational college teachers in the current social environment,aiming to reveal the social discrimination they face and the cultural identity they aspire to.Through the research method of internet ethnography,we have preliminarily identified the stigma faced by vocational college teachers in various aspects such as economic status,moral quality,professional identity,professional commitment,professional output,and personal abilities.Based on this,teachers represent themselves and construct their identities from multiple dimensions,including"economic man""moral man""company man""working man""industry man"and"skilled man".To address the resistant identity of vocational college teachers,it is necessary to pay attention to the cultural and institutional factors contributing to the stigma,encourage teachers to construct their own identities,and provide structural support.关键词
