Matrix Selection and Performance Influence of Foamed Polypropylene

Abstract
The basic physical properties of several polypropylene(PP)base materials with different melt flow indices were compared.Utilizing testing and analysis methods such as rotational rheometers,differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM),and universal material testing machines,the effects of the mechanical properties,crystallization properties,and rheological properties of different PP matrix materials on the foaming process were systematically investigated.The results indicated that E02ES exhibited good viscosity and elasticity,high foaming ratio,low crystallization temperature,and ultimately yielded an ideal cell structure.In contrast,other PP materials exhibit low foaming ratio,cell rupture,and poor foaming quality.E02ES can be used as a foaming base material for applications in automotive components,sports equipment,construction,packaging,and other fields.关键词
