摘要

Abstract

A radiolysis model for coolant containing ammonia was developed to investigate ammonia injection,which inhibits the oxidizing products generated in coolant radiolysis in pressurized water reactors.The effects of temperature,initial ammonia concentration,and dissolved oxygen concentration on the radiolysis behavior of ammo-nia-containing coolant were investigated using this model.Results show that as temperature increases,ammonia de-composition slows significantly,thereby decreasing H2 concentration.Higher initial ammonia concentrations pro-mote ammonia decomposition but reduce its decomposition ratio.Meanwhile,the H2 generated during radiolysis ex-hibits a linear relationship with the degree of ammonia decomposition.The maximum relative error of the model was less than 20%of the experimental results.The radiolysis process is notably intensified in systems containing dis-solved oxygen,resulting in a decrease in H2 concentration.The ammonia loss ratio in an oxygen-free ammonia solu-tion is 45.5%,compared with 57.9%in an aerobic system.This study provides valuable insights for optimizing ammonia-containing coolants in the new reactor design.
