摘要

Abstract

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC),China has witnessed significant improvements in environmental pollution control and ecological quality with the environmental industry experienced rapid growth.There has been remarkable progress in the construction of discipline and cultivation of high-level talent teams in Environmental Engineering.This paper systematically reviews the key environmental policies and national action plans implemented since the 18th National Congress.It summarizes the current state of the environmental protection industry and highlights the major achievements in controlling pollution.Additionally,it discusses the frontiers of international environmental research as well as the major shifts in national ecological environment management.Furthermore,the study outlines the important measures and accomplishments of the Environmental Engineering discipline supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC),aimed at promoting the transformation of scientific research paradigms,improvements in the funding system,and the cultivation of talent.Prospects and ideas are proposed for advancing the high-quality development of the environmental engineering discipline in light of new challenges.
