Abstract
This paper investigated the anomalous reflection modulation of electromagnetic beams by electromagnetic metasurface,employing digital encoding to control additional phases of the metasurface for artificial manipulation of reflected beam directions.A 32-bit binary-coded metasurface controlled by a reinforcement learning algorithm was designed and simulated.The control code of the metasurface was generated by the reinforcement learning algorithm.The algorithm searched for codes in two directions:the anomalous reflection direction of the electromagnetic beam and the power of the reflected signal,to ensure the metasurface achievedanomalous reflection functionality and reduced energy attenuation.Simulation results of the metasurface with encoded modulation under fixed incident wave angles indicate that,after reinforcement learning-controlled encoding modulation,the metasurface achieves artificial control of the reflection direction of the electromagnetic beam incident at 45° within a certain range,resulting in five different reflection angles while maintaining reflected signal power above 40% of the incident power.关键词
