摘要

Abstract

In the conservation of historic environ-ment,on which traditional settlements depend,selecting conservation targets and clarifying their internal logical relationships face practical challenges.In response,this article employs the research method of spatial growth logic to con-duct a case study of Longhu Ancient Village in Guangdong Province.It examines the settlement through driving forces and objectives behind its construction and divides its history into three phases based on its spatial growth logic:(1)site selection and clan consolidation,(2)fortification and community establishment,and(3)commercial and cultural flourishing.The article further analyses elements that reflect the main characteristics of the settlement's spatial growth in each phase and their impact on the spatial organisation logic,facilitating the integration and continuity of spatial growth across these periods.Building on this analysis,the article proposes key conservation points and meas-ures for the historic environment of Longhu An-cient Village,regarding environmental,elemental,spatial,and scale dimensions.The findings suggest that research into spatial growth logic provides a robust foundation for accurately defining the cate-gories of elements essential for the overall conser-vation of historic environment and for formulating appropriate conservation plans that consider both diachronic and synchronic perspectives.
