Abstract

The effects of flexible abrasive belt grinding on the microstructure and stress state of Q370R steel welded joints were analyzed by X-ray diffraction technology,diffraction line analysis method and stress measurement method,and compared with the welded and heat treated Q370R steel welded joint samples.The results show that heat treatment could effectively eliminate the welding residual tensile stress,but had no significant effect on the microstructure.When the weld allowance was removed by flexible abrasive belt grinding,a plastic deformation layer with a thickness of about 140 μm was formed on the surface of the joint.The microstructure of the deformed layer was composed of a tensile stress layer with a thickness of 25 μm and a compressive stress layer with a thickness of 115 μm.The nano-to-micron domain size and micro-strain were distributed in a gradient manner.
