Abstract
Objective To investigate the influence of the establishment of AICU on the postoperative mortality rate of high-risk patients with gastrointestinal tumors,by comparing the high-risk patients with gastrointestinal tumors admitted to the surgical ICU from January to December 2022 with those in the same period of 2023.Methods This study is a retrospective cohort study.A total of 453 patients diag-nosed with gastrointestinal tumors undergoing radical surgery at People's Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from January 2022 to December 2022 and from January 2023 to December 2023 were included as the research subjects by reviewing the electronic medical records of inpatients.The patients were divided into two groups based on the different type of postoperative ICU they were admitted to.Altogether 239 patients receiving gastrointestinal tumor radical surgery admitted to AICU from January to December 2023 were allocated to the experimental group(n=239),and 214 patients with gastrointestinal tumor radical surgery admitted to the surgical ICU from January to December 2022 were included to the control group(n=214).The clinical data of the two groups of patients were analyzed.Results Compared with the control group,the postoperative mortality rate of the experimental group was 7.1％,and that of the control group was 12.8％,with a statistically significant difference(P＜0.05);the incidence of postoperative complications in the experimental group was 15.9％,which was statistically significantly different from that of the control group(22.4％)(P＜0.05);the postoperative ICU stay time of the two groups were 0.9±1.9 days for the experimental group and 2.1±1.7 days for the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion Through professional postoperative monitoring and treatment,as well as optimizing the perioperative manage-ment process,AICU has reduced the postoperative mortality rate of patients undergoing gastrointestinal tumor radical surgery,improved the therapeutic effect and safety,and promoted the rapid recovery and improvement of the life quality of patients.关键词
