Abstract

The wake effect of offshore wind farm is significant and slow to recover,affecting the power generation of surrounding wind farms.It is necessary to accurately assess the wake effect among wind farms in wind power project site planning and power generation evaluation.Based on the characteristics of wind energy resources in the coastal region of Zhejiang Province,Jensen wake model combined with the square root superposition method is used to study the impact of wind turbine layout and spacing on inter-farm wake effects.The change in power generation of surrounding wind farms is also analyzed as the wind farm location is changed.Results show that the wake effect between fields decreases logarithmically with spacing.The arrangement of wind turbines within a wind farm has a relatively minor impact on the wake effect between wind farms.Changes of the farm location will significantly affect the power generation of its upstream and downstream farms,but the total power generation of all farms will not change significantly.The above findings provide important guidance for the planning and power generation evaluation of large-scale wind farm clusters.
